Marriott International has announced its partnership with Al Ali Property Investments (API) to launch the Moxy Hotel brand in Dubai. The new property, Moxy Al Barsha Dubai, will bring the brand’s bold, stylish, and playful hospitality concept to one of the city’s most vibrant neighbourhoods. The hotel is slated to open in the summer of 2025, marking the brand’s debut in the UAE.

Chadi Hauch, Regional Vice President for Lodging Development, Middle East at Marriott International, said, “The Moxy Al Barsha Dubai will offer a playful and spirited hospitality experience, bringing a new energy to Dubai’s already dynamic hotel market. Dubai remains a crucial growth market for Marriott, with strong demand for stylish, budget-friendly hotel experiences.”
The Moxy Al Barsha Dubai will be a conversion of an existing property in the Al Barsha area. Marriott and API will oversee a full refurbishment and repositioning of the hotel, which will align with the Moxy brand’s signature industrial design, dynamic social spaces, and engaging programming. The announcement further strengthens the ongoing collaboration between Marriott and API, with this being the third project between the two entities. Previous collaborations include the signing of Marriott Executive Apartments and Marriott Hotel Residences on Sheikh Zayed Road.
Jassim Al Ali, Managing Director of Al Ali Property Investments, added, “Moxy Al Barsha Dubai will complement our growing portfolio of properties and is set to offer an exciting addition to Dubai’s hospitality scene.”
The Moxy Al Barsha Dubai will feature a variety of offerings tailored to young-at-heart travellers. Guests can expect to find smart, stylish guestrooms designed for comfort and convenience, alongside vibrant public spaces that foster social interaction. The hotel will also incorporate bold programming with a local twist and communal tables that invite guests to connect and collaborate.
